First item is a letter from Dan[ie]l Webster dated "Department of State, Washington, June 5th 1852" to "Albert Fitz Esqr, Commercial Agent of the U. States, Aux Cayes Hayti" granting Fitz a leave of absence. Second document has handwritten notes on the "Island of St Domingo" including historical, geographical, and census information. The third item is a handwritten report to ascertain the amount of military and naval forces, fortifications, etc. at the British West Indies for the U.S. Department of State.
